In face I see green hills piled up on hills green,

Nearby grass grows waist-deep and grassy¹ isles² are seen.

Frost-proof tangerines and shaddocks stand proud,

Reeds steeped in rain look clear and clean.

Across the waves the riverside tower dimmed by cloud,

Peeping through boundless³ autumn on the river, it grieves

To see a few withered⁴ willow⁵ leaves.

山对面蓝堆翠蛐，

草齐腰绿染沙洲。

傲霜橘柚青，

濯雨蒹葭秀。

隔沧波隐隐江楼，

点破箫湘万顷秋，

是几叶儿传黄败柳？
