What a riot tonight was!Mel is so gutsy. We had a girl's night out and went to the open microphone night at Sub Pub. For a new place, it was pretty busy.It had a great wine list,beer selection and cocktail¹ menu, but the food wasn't the best. Oh well, after all it was just pub food. After Mel had a few, she jumped onto the stage and sang her little heart out. She had the whole place rocking! Her voice isn't even that great but she has so much energy and can really get a crowd pumped! She is the best.

今晚真是狂欢夜!梅尔真够大胆的。我们几个女生晚上去潜艇酒吧的开放麦克风之夜狂欢，以一家新开的酒吧来说，生意还真是不错。洋酒种类很多，可供选择的啤酒和鸡尾酒也是一箩筐，不过食物就差了点。再怎么说都是酒吧食物嘛!梅尔吃了点东西后，居然跳上舞台引吭高歌，让整个酒吧都动了起来!她的歌声是不怎么样，但她动感十足、精力充沛，全场人都跟着晃动起来!她是最棒的。

I went to an open microphone night last night too. Except it was spoken word and not singing.My friend Spring got up and recited a great poem on how communities seem to be less important these days.

我昨晚也去了一个开放麦克风之夜，但不是唱歌而是诵读。我朋友斯普林上台朗诵了一首很棒的诗，是有关近年来社区或团体似乎越来越不受重视的问题。
