A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules¹, goats and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically², "Relatives of yours?"

"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

Tips:这里为什么说是法律上的（in-laws)呢？因为在英文中，mother-in-law意指婆婆或岳母，father-in-law意指公公或岳父等……总之这里的in-laws指的是丈夫家的亲戚。
