good morning, everyone. my name is olivia.

the XX beijing olympic¹ games are coming. my classmates and i are very excited². we have been talking about it every day and hope³ the chinese athletes⁵ will win a lot of gold medals⁶. it would⁷ be a dream⁸ come true⁹ to be able¹⁰ to go to beijing for the olympics¹¹.

liu xiang is my favorite¹² athlete⁴. he is from my hometown¹³ shanghai. i am so proud¹⁴ of him. let me tell you a little secret¹⁵. last month i wrote¹⁶ to liu xiang. i hope he received¹⁷ my letter, and knows that i am wishing him all my luck¹⁸ to be the first crossing the finish line.

i always ask myself¹⁹. what can i do for the beijing olympic games? i am still a little girl, but i love sports so much. i may not be an athlete when i grow up. but i can learn something from the olympic athletes. if you want to win, you have to work very hard. like liu xiang, i will work very hard to make my dreams²⁰ come true. i want my mother, my classmates and my teachers to be proud of me some day.

people from all over the world will go to beijing for the XX olympic games. i will go to beijing too. of course²¹ i will bring along²² my lovely doll fuwa. good luck liu xiang! good luck beijing! good luck china! good luck XX olympic games!
