Li Yongzhi has become a local hero for his amazing addiction2 to the red-hot peppers. He loves them so much he grows eight different varieties in his own back yard in Zhengzhou, China. His strange habit formed when he was a youngster when he says he could go without meat or eggs but could not do without spiciness3.
