China’s Lin Dan, already regarded by many as the greatest player of all time, made another entry into the record books with an overwhelming¹ performance to recpature his sixth All-England Open title on Sunday.

林丹，在许多人心目中已经是有史以来中国最伟大球员的中国，3月13日又有一项新纪录载入史册：他以不可抵挡之势第六次摘得全英赛桂冠。

Lin, also a five times world champion and double Olympic champion, took only 45 minutes to win 21-9, 21-10 in the final over his compatriot Tian Houwei.

已经获得5次全英赛冠军和2次世界冠军的林丹，在本次与中国球员田厚威的决赛中，只用了45分钟以21比9、21比10直落两局轻松获胜夺冠。

Tian, nine years younger than his legendary² teammate, never looked in contention³ with the title, giving Lin his easiest match during the whole tournament.

田厚威，比林丹小9岁,从未拿过世界冠军，使得这场决赛成为林丹在本赛事中赢得最轻松的一场。

Lin added the title to his collection of wins in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2012, becoming the most successful player here in the past 40 years.

此前林丹曾在2004、2006、2007、2009、2012年夺冠，他成为40年来在全英公开赛上赢得冠军最多的球员。

"I felt extremely happy," he said. "Since I was here for the first time in 2002, I have played 11 or 12 tournaments, reaching the finals nine times and winning six. It is not easy. You need to maintain⁴ good shape each time and play your best."

他说，“我感到非常开心。自从我2002年第一次参加全英赛至今，我已经打了11或是12场比赛了，9次进入了决赛，6次拿到冠军。这真的很不容易。你得每次都保持良好状态，发挥出最佳水平。”

"I never expect the final is so easy," he said. "I made very good prepartion for it. I know I will have a good chance."

他说，“我从未期待过决赛打得如此轻松，我做了充分的准备，我知道，好机会一定会来的。”

With the Rio Olympics only five months away, winning a third Olympic gold medal remains⁵ Lin’s priority⁶, although he tries to play down his chance because of the fierce competition in the Chinese team.

"I am not thinking that far ahead yes," he said. "Yesterday, i was telling myself to just focus on this final first. All the Chinese coaches are sitting in the corner and I just want to show them that even though I’m 33 I can still do it."
