eople in Hefei, capital of China's Anhui province, have been found to be the country's most voracious1 readers, a recent survey conducted by Amazon China revealed.

According to the survey, Hefei replaced Jinhua, Zhejiang, at the top position of the most bookish cities in China this year. Following Hefei in the ranking were Zhengzhou, Wenzhou and Kunming.

Big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou were nowhere to be found in the top 10. Unlike last year's ranking, which was dominated by southern cities, this year the split between northern and southern cities was even.
