Fifteen-year-old Labrador Charlie Bear had watched his owner, Kelly O'Connell, become an adult.

15岁的拉布拉多犬查理·贝尔看着他的主人凯莉·奥康奈尔长大成人。

He managed to be there for one last milestone¹ in her life after contracting a brain tumor². Most people thought Charlie wouldn't live long enough to witness Kelly's wedding.

查理罹患脑瘤后，很多人以为他活不到亲眼见证主人婚礼的时刻，但查理挨到了那一刻，最后一次见证凯莉的人生大事。

The faithful dog was found abandoned at 12 weeks old and was adopted by Kelly. Since then, the two have been best friends.

这只忠诚的狗狗在12周大时遭遗弃，之后被人发现，凯莉收养了他。此后，他们成了最好的朋友。

But a few months ago, Kelly learned Charlie was dying; he started having seizures³ caused by a brain tumor.

但几个月前，凯莉得知查理快不行了；他开始出现脑瘤发作的症状。

Kelly planned to have the dog put to sleep, but suddenly the seizures stopped. Charlie's ability to walk improved.

凯莉已经打算让查理安乐死了，但他的脑瘤突然不再发作了。查理的行动力有所好转。

On the day of the wedding, he made it down the aisle⁴ but was too tired to walk back on his own.

在婚礼当天，他走过了红毯，但是却疲惫得无法自己走回去。

"My husband James and I just grabbed onto him, and we just kept saying, 'You made it, buddy⁵, you made it.'" Kelly said.

凯莉说道：“我的丈夫詹姆斯和我紧紧抓住了他，我们不断地在说'你做到了，伙计，你做到了。'”

Eight days after the wedding, Charlie passed away.

婚礼后8天，查理去世了。

Kelly told BuzzFeed she was happy he lived long enough to attend her wedding. She said: "It was a phenomenal moment. It was a phenomenal 15 years."

凯莉向BuzzFeed网站透露，她很高兴查理能坚持到参加自己的婚礼。她说：“这是一个非凡的时刻。这是一个非凡的15年。”
