Traffic police departments of Hangzhou and Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang, on March 9, 2017 published a record of local traffic accidents and violations² in recent years.

The newly released statistics show that female drivers are better than male drivers since they have less accident or traffic violation¹ record.

Take Hangzhou as an example: as of the end of February 2017, the city has a total of 1.39 million female drivers, accounting³ for 36.3% of the total motor vehicle drivers in Hangzhou.

In 2016, female drivers had 157 accidents, which was only 10.41% of the total recorded traffic accidents, and had 1.83 million traffic rules violations, accounting for only 27.1% of a total of 6.78 million.

According to the traffic police department of Hangzhou, female drivers, compared to male drivers, are more cautious and more emotionally stable when driving as they are not likely to speed and drive under influence.

Hence, both statistical⁴ data and actual cases show that female drivers are much more reliable than male drivers.
