The choir¹ of King's College, Cambridge, released its new album containing songs performed in Chinese for the first time.

剑桥大学国王学院合唱团日前发布了首次收录中文歌曲的新专辑。

The album contains 19 songs, with two of them sung in Mandarin².

该专辑包含19首歌曲，其中两首以普通话演唱。

One of the songs is "Second Farewell to Cambridge", a poem originally written by Chinese poet and King's College alumnus Xu Zhimo.

While the poem has been set to music many times before, King's has commissioned the first musical setting of the text by a mainstream³ classical composer.

The new piece, by renowned⁴ English composer John Rutter, has been recorded in celebration of the near 100-year link between King's College and Xu Zhimo, and has been released on Jan 26 on the King's College Record Label.
