LESSON 45 RAIN 第四十五课 雨

Rain comes from the clouds. Look, there are black clouds now in the sky. 雨从云层而来。看，现在天空中布满了乌云。

How fast they move along¹! See, they have hidden² the sun. 它们移动的多快呀！快看，它们把太阳藏起来了，

They have covered⁴ up the sun, just as you cover³ up your face when you put something over it. 它们覆盖住了太阳，就像你用东西盖住了脸一样。

But there is one little bit⁵ of blue sky. 但是仍有一小片蓝天。

Now there is no blue sky at all: it is all black with the clouds. 现在完全没有蓝天了，全部是乌云，

It is very dark⁶, like night. It will rain soon. 天色很黑像晚上。很快就会下雨了。

Now the rain begins. What large drops! 现在雨开始下了，雨滴好大呀！

The ducks are very glad; but the little birds are not glad,—they go and shelter⁷ themselves⁸ under the trees. 鸭子很开心但是鸟儿一点都不高兴---它们飞到树底下找栖息地。

Now the rain is over. It was only a shower. 现在雨停了。刚刚下了阵雨，

Now the flowers smell sweet, and the bright sun shines⁹, and the little birds sing again. 现在花儿香味更甜了，太阳开始放光了，小鸟又开始歌唱了。
