This Bankura Christian¹ College second year student never thought an autograph from Prime Minister Narendra Modi would make her a celebrity² in her village, some 230km from Kolkata.

这位班库拉基督学院的二年级学生，从未想过总理纳伦德拉·莫迪的亲笔签名会让她在距离加尔各答230公里的一个村子里成为名人。

The new-found fame has also landed two marriage proposals at the doorstep of 19-year-old Rita Mudi.

这一新近的名声竟然使得19岁的丽塔·穆迪收到了两名男子的求婚。

For the last 10 days life has been hectic³, she said over the phone. "That day at the hospital when the PM came to my bedside, I told him how happy I was to see him," she said.

丽塔在电话采访里表示，过去10天里，她的生活一直都很忙碌。她说道：“那天总理莫迪走进医院，来到我的床边，我告诉他我很开心能看到他”。

On July 16, Rita had travelled to Midnapore with her mother and sister to hear Modi speak. They sat below a tent that subsequently collapsed⁴.

7月16日，丽塔同母亲和妹妹一起前往米德纳布尔听取莫迪的演讲。可是她们落座的帐篷发生了坍塌。

They were rushed to hospital. The PM later came visiting and spoke⁵ to Rita, among others.

"I requested an autograph," Rita said. "I saw him hesitate a bit, but I insisted. He then wrote。"

"From the very next day, we started having a stream of visitors at our home. They all wanted to see the autograph."

Mother Sandhya said: "Not only visitors, we received two marriage proposals for Rita. One was from Jharkhand's Tatanagar. The groom⁶ has his own business and had no demands. The second was from Bankura. The groom owns agricultural land. Both my daughters want to study. So we didn't show much interest."

她的母亲桑迪亚表示：“不光是访客，还有两位男子向丽塔求婚。一个来自贾坎德邦的Tatanagar，他有自己的事业，没有任何要求。第二个来自班库拉，他有自己的土地。可我的两个女儿都还想读书，所以我们没有表现出多大兴趣。”
