Mobike, one of China's bike-sharing giants, has filed an eight million yuan claim for compensation against ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing over alleged¹ patent infringements², according to Chinanews.com.

据中国新闻网报道，中国共享单车巨头之一的摩拜单车，已经就涉嫌专利侵权，向网约车巨头滴滴出行提出了800万元人民币的赔偿。

The lawsuit³ was filed last Tuesday at the Suzhou Municipal Intermediate People's Court in Jiangsu province.

上周二，摩拜在江苏省苏州市中级人民法院提起了这一诉讼。

Mobike claimed that two of Didi Chuxing's subsidiary companies, Beijing Small Orange Technology Company and Hangzhou Qingqi Technology Company, have infringed⁴ on four of its patents relating to share bikes, including its seat adjustment and smart lock designs.

Mobike claims that it was the first company to invent smart-lock technology, and also the first company to introduce smart locks into bike-sharing services.
