The Long and Short of It
Although1 I had2 never met him, I knew that my grandfather had been five feet, six inches3 tall, while4 my stately grandmother stood5 five feet, eleven inches. As a teen-ager leafing6 through old photographs7 with Grandma, I finally8 realized9 how unusual10 they must have looked together .
