Huanglong Scenic1 area is located in Songpan County, Sichuan Province. It was listed as a world heritage site in 1992. The area, which extends over 700 square kilometers, contains two parts: the Huanglong and Maonigou. This scenic spot is the result of the formations of talpatate which give a special color to ponds and beaches. Together with high mountains, snow covered peaks, valleys, waterfalls, lakes and forests, these talpatates look especially marvelous.
