女蜗造人

Chinese legend has it that in remote antiquity¹ there were no humans when a god called Pan Gu broke the chaotic² universe and split the heaven and earth apart. Then a goddess named Nii Wa began to make clay figu-vines after Pan Gu and herself. After several days of hard work，man and woman were created. And more than that，she also gave the law of marriage to keep hu-man behaviors within bounds. First. the man should ask a matchmaker to talk about the marriage with the woman's family. Then when they agreed he should send some gifts as to show his sincerity³. Last, the woman should move to the man's home.

在中国的神话传说中，盘古打破浑沌的宇宙、开天辟地的远古时代并无人类。是女蜗仿照自己和盘古的样子，将黄土捏成人形。经过几天的辛苦劳作，女蜗造出了男人和女人。不仅如此，她还为人类建立了婚姻制度以规范人类的行为。首先，男方应请媒人与女方的家人商量结发之事。待女方同意后应送财礼以示诚意。然后女孩才能嫁人男家。
