Once again, Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport has emerged the busiest airport in the world. Beijing Capital International Airport, which nabbed the second spot, saw 89m passengers last year.

Preliminary data from Airports Council International reveals that over 100m passengers passed through the airport last year, a 5.5% increase on 2014.

According to the report, Atlanta is a two-hour flight of 80% of the United States population and has held the top spot for 18 years.
