Chinese authorities have unveiled guidelines to improve regulations on real estate¹ agencies, which have become a major source of customer complaints due to misleading information.

近日，国内有关部门出台了关于加强房地产中介监管的意见。由于误导信息，房地产中介已成为客户投诉的主要原因。

The guidelines, released by the Ministry² of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and six other related government departments, ordered that housing information should be officially verified before being advertized by agencies.

该意见由住建部与其他六个相关政府部门发布，要求中介发布房源信息前需先行官方核验。

The guidelines also promised to improve credit information system in the sector³ and regulate cooperation between real estate agencies and financial institutions.

该意见还承诺将完善行业信用体系，规范房地产中介与金融机构的合作。

The move is part of government efforts to improve the residential⁴ sale and rental⁵ market, as fake listings and irregular charges threaten to sully the sector's reputation.
