Alisports, the sports wing of Alibaba Group, and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced a strategic partnership¹ last Monday in Hangzhou, to bring the fast-developing e-sports or electronic sports to the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

阿里巴巴集团旗下体育公司阿里体育与亚洲奥林匹克理事会上周一在杭州宣布达成战略合作伙伴关系，将快速发展的电子竞技纳入2022年杭州亚洲运动会。

The partners said e-sports will be added to the 2017 Ashgabat Asian Indoor and Martial² Arts Games (AIMAG), the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

双方表示，电子竞技将加入2017年阿什哈巴德亚洲室内与武道运动会、2018年雅加达亚运会和2022年杭州亚运会。

E-sports will become an official Asian Games sport in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

电子竞技将在2022年杭州亚运会成为亚运会正式比赛项目。

Earlier this month, the OCA had already added e-sports to the AIMAG.

Formed in 1982, the OCA manages and organizes a series of major comprehensive sporting events, including the Asian Games, the Asian Winter Games, the AIMAG, the Asian Beach Games and the Asian Youth Games.

成立于1982年的亚奥理事会负责管理和组织一系列大型综合性体育赛事，包括亚运会、亚洲冬季运动会、亚室武会、亚洲沙滩运动会和亚洲青年运动会。

"Alisports places an emphasis on the operation of sports events and the related business of sports media, but not in purchasing the broadcast rights of events, which is different from its rival LeSports," said Sun Zheng, an analyst³ said.
