Chinese media owners are quickly catching¹ up with their international counterparts in terms of advertising² revenue.

According to the Top 30 Global Media Owners report released by return-on-investment agency Zenith, three Chinese media companies entered the top 30 list, including Baidu, Tencent and China Central Television, occupying the 4th, 14th and 20th spots, respectively.

根据投资回报机构Zenith发布的《全球30大媒体业主》报告，百度、腾讯和央视三家中国媒体公司进入了前30名榜单，分别排在第4、14和20位。

With that, China claimed the second-biggest number of media owners in the ranking, only second to the US, which had 20 companies.

Zenith has been publishing the list since 2007. The list this year is based only on media owners' advertising revenue, excluding revenues from all other activities.
