Burying himself in a pile of papers, 50-year-old Liang Shi from China's Sichuan province might be the country's most tenacious¹ student for he has tried to crack the Gaokao, or National college entrance exam, 20 times, and this year he is ready to tackle it again.

Never giving up on his dream, Liang has decided² to continue his attempt - to get into Sichuan University, for mathematics study.

Last year, he only managed 417 points, which is far from the minimum passing marks for admission to the university.

Liang first sat for Gaokao when he was 16, and now 30 years later his son is already a college student.

梁实第一次参加高考是在16岁的时候，而现在30年过去了，他的儿子都已经是大学生了。

When asked why he keeps trying for Gaokao, Liang, who runs a construction supplies business, said he just want to fulfill³ his dream of going to university.

当被问到为什么如此执着于高考时，经营建材采购生意的梁实表示，自己只是想实现上大学的梦想。
