Fairy-tale romance "The Shape of Water" led the 2018 Golden Globe nominations¹ with seven nominations.

Guillermo del Toro's acclaimed² 1960s-set fantasy picked up nominations in several top categories, including best motion picture drama and best actress for Sally Hawkins.

The other best motion picture drama nominees⁵ are Call Me By Your Name which is another coming-of-age tale, World War II thriller⁶ Dunkirk.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association president and Indian journalist Meher Tatna praised the diversity of nominees.
