The extinction¹ of dinosaurs² is primarily attributed to two major events:

Asteroid³ Impact: Around 66 million years ago, a massive asteroid struck Earth near present-day Mexico, creating the Chicxulub crater⁴. This impact caused massive fires, tsunamis⁵, and a "nuclear winter" effect, blocking sunlight and disrupting the food chain.

Volcanic⁶ Activity: Concurrently⁷, large-scale volcanic eruptions⁸ in the Deccan Traps (modern-day India) released vast amounts of gases and ash, further altering the climate and making survival difficult for many species, including dinosaurs.

恐龙灭绝的原因主要有两个：
