StudioCanal and Superights have closed a with Sky for the new CGI series of the renowned¹ children’s animation² classic Miffy .

Based on the world-famous character Miffy, created by Dick Bruna in 1955 and featuring in more than 30 books, this new animation series featuring the iconic bunny seeks to engage today’s pre-school aged children and all the people who love her around the world.

Miffy – who is celebrating her 70th anniversary in 2025 – has evolved into a more complex, funny and engaging character who lives in a contemporary world. The new Miffy series is distinguished³ by its emphasis on character-driven stories about Miffy and her friends discovering the World around them. Miffy is positive, creative and spontaneous, sometimes even impulsive⁴ which can lead to tricky⁵ situations that she cleverly overcomes, thanks to her positive attitude and empathy.

Available as 78 episodes of 7 minutes and targeted at 3-5 year-olds, Miffy is currently in production in Superprod Animation studios.
