One of his famous quotes, defines his passion to the maximum possible extent "Physics Works, and I'm still alive!"He doesn't mind risking his life for a lecture (he doesn't usually die), but an experiment cum demonstration³ like this one can go horribly wrong with just a tiny bit of extra force.

Professor Andrew Ng of the the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab. Although I had the opportunity of being taught by him in only 1 online course (Coursera) on Machine learning, I believe his way of teaching was so simplistic and devoid⁶ of any mathematical complexities⁷ that even a non-tech guy could have easily understood the basic concepts underlying⁸ machine learning and its real world applications. Over 1,00,000 students registered for the first iteration of the course. I truly came to appreciate the organisation⁹ of the course and wondered why cannot we be can be awarded with such purpose-oriented education in our universities.

UC Berkeley Professor of Anthropology¹⁰ Dr. Laura Nader was by far the best professor I ever had. It was she who distinguished¹¹ for me justice, morality, and the law. She did a seminal¹² study on conflict resolution among the native Zapotec people of Mexico in Oaxaca, and discovered that when ongoing¹³ relationships exist, conflict resolution improves with face-saving, and relationship-saving solutions. Similarly, she found that when there is no ongoing relationship, a win-lose outcome is more likely. Food for thought, especially in the area of law, justice, and conflict resolution. She deeply influenced me and many thousands of UC Berkeley students.
