Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes is working on a new period drama for ITV.

唐顿庄园》制片人朱利安·费罗斯正在为英国独立电视台制作一部新的历史剧。

Fellowes has been commissioned by the network to adapt his 2016 novel Belgravia, Deadline reported.

Deadline报道称，费罗斯已接受网络的委托，改编其2016年的小说《贝尔格莱维亚》。

Belgravia, which was originally published in a serialised format¹ online, is set in London in the 1840s.

贝尔格莱维亚》最初以连载形式在线出版，故事发生在19世纪40年代的伦敦。

Carnival² Films, the same company that co-produced Downton Abbey, is producing the new show, according to Deadline.

据Deadline报道，嘉年华影业公司将会制作这部新剧，这家公司曾经联合制作一航英剧《唐顿庄园》。

Downton Abbey originally aired on ITV between 2010 and 2015.

唐顿庄园》最初于2010年至2015年在英国独立电视台播出。

Production on the new series is reportedly set to start in the coming months, and the show is slated³ for a six-part run.

Fellowes described it as such in a previous interview with The Independent: ”You tune in and you see the real house, you meet the characters, and it says something like ‘Waterloo’ and you press Waterloo and you get ‘Waterloo was a battle fought on the 18 June 1815...’

Fellowes has also written the screenplay for the upcoming Downton Abbey film, set to be released in September 2019.
