Recently,a team of astronomers¹ led by physicist² Shelley Wright of the University of California,San Diego is deploying³ a pair of telescopes,hoping to continuously search for intelligent life signals from our galaxy⁴ in the night sky.

According to researchers,the project is called PANOSETI(Panoramic Search for Extraterrestrial Civilizations),and it is expected to install hundreds of telescopes.If the final assembly is completed,the project will become the first dedicated⁵ observatory⁶ that can continuously search for optical or infrared⁷ signals.The two telescopes deployed⁸ this time will provide astronomers with a new window to understand the universe on a nanosecond time scale.
