多地增加体育中考分值

Most provincial-level regions in China will increase the weighting of physical education in the high school entrance exam, or zhongkao, starting next year, the Ministry¹ of Education said on Monday.

12月14日，教育部体育卫生与艺术教育司司长王登峰表示，明年起绝大多数省份体育中考分值将增加。

Wang Dengfeng, director of the ministry's Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, said PE tests are currently mandatory² in the zhongkao in all provincial-level regions, with scores ranging from 30 to 100 points.

王登峰说，目前全国已经实现体育中考全覆盖，分值从30分-100分不等。

Based on recent reports the ministry received from local education authorities, most regions plan to significantly increase PE scores in the zhongkao next year, which marks an important development in reforming the evaluation³ of school physical education, he said.

最近一段时间，教育部陆续接到各地报来的情况，从2021年起，绝大多数省份体育中考分值都会增加且幅度较大。王登峰表示，这是学校体育教育评价改革的重要一步。

In October, the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council issued a guideline on strengthening and improving physical education in schools. The guideline asked education authorities to gradually increase PE scores in the zhongkao and improve the content and method of testing.

今年10月，中共中央办公厅和国务院办公厅印发《关于全面加强和改进新时代学校体育工作的意见》，要求教育部门逐渐提高体育中考分值，改进体育测试内容和方式。
