The Colorful² Birthday Party

One day, Little Bear invited³ his friends to his birthday party. He wanted to make a big cake. He drew a picture first: a blue sea, a yellow duck, and a red balloon⁴. Then, he mixed colors. Orange and green made⁵ brown, and red and white made pink.

At three o’clock, his friends arrived. There was a black cat, a white rabbit, and a purple butterfly. They all said⁶, “Happy Birthday, Little Bear! How old are you?”

Little Bear said, “I am five years old!” His friends counted: “One, two, three, four, five!”
