《早发白帝城》

Leaving the White Emperor Town at Dawn

朝辞白帝彩云间，

At dawn I left the White Emperor crowned with cloud;

千里江陵一日还。

To Jiangling I returned within a day.

两岸猿声啼不住，

While apes on both banks screamed without a pause,

轻舟已过万重山。

My skiff had left ten thousand mountains far away.

Drinking Alone Under the Moon

花间一壶酒，独酌无相亲。

Among the flowers, a jug¹ of wine;

I drink alone, no friend is near.

举杯邀明月，对影成三人。

I raise my cup to the bright moon;

It and my shadow make us three.

Seeing Meng Haoran off at Yellow Crane Tower

故人西辞黄鹤楼，

My old friend leaves the Yellow Crane Tower,

烟花三月下扬州。

For River Town veiled in green willows² and red flowers.

孤帆远影碧空尽，

His lessening³ sail is lost in the boundless⁴ blue sky,

唯见长江天际流。

Where I see but the endless River rolling by.
